Il Richiastro

Since 1981, the restaurant Il Richiastro offers you the opportunity to taste traditional dishes. In the historical building Palazzo Mazzatosta, in Viterbo, you can have the famous sauces made with local products accompanied by hot bread, or you can order “Lombrichi alla vitorchianese” you will also find “Fettuccine all’ uccelletto pazzo“ or even “Pizzicati alle zucchine” (homemade pasta with zucchini), “Gnocchi ‘ncotti” (made with water and flour and various seasoning) or the famous seasonal soups. To continue you can have a succulent meat dish such as “Capomazzi” (lamb’s pajata) with potatoes, beef fillet with tredura sauce, roast with figs or wine, and sausage meatballs with various seasonal fruit sauces. To complete your meal you can have a spoon dessert made with ricotta cheese or cream, or some “Tozzetti” (typical biscuits with local hazelnuts) accompanied by our Ippocrasso spiced wine.

Giovanna, Emanuele and Luigi propose to their customers coming from all over Italy, a creative interpretation of the traditional medieval cuisine of Viterbo and Tuscia, favouring quality seasonal food and wines made in small high leveled cellars and part of triple A circuit, and seasoning their dishes with extra-virgin olive oil of their own production
